Hi Guys,

when I bought my Bonnie about a month ago the dealer pointed out that the casings had pitted or cracked a little. A fellow biker pointed out that using T cut metal polish these would probably polish out and they do.

It does require some hard buffing and the result is more of a gloss than silk finish but it works

Anyone else had this problem?

Casper

Looks good. Assuming there is no laquer left on your cases - you could polish with a chrome cleaner or an aluminium cleaner ands get more shine and protection - T-Cut doesn't have any protective waxes in it. They don't last long on hot engine cases though - so you'd have to get the cloth out regularly. Worth it for the look though!

Why wouldn't pitted & cracked cases be warrantee? It would be here at the Chevy Dealership.

Bob,

the Bike I bought was not new (an August 2003 model), so I guess that if it happened under its guarantee no problem?

I have the same problem.

I'm thinking about buyiing the Triumph chrome cases, does anyone know how the chrome stands up to a British winter.
