I swapped out my stock mirrrors for some bar-end mirrors now i have the holes showing where the stem used to be.
looks tacky and unfinished.
went to home dump (depot) piccked up some 1/2 inch and 5/8 insh metal plugs but neighther fit . it was like the 3 bears story. any suggestions? :???:

I went to Lowe's and found little black plugs...I forget the size. I brought in part of the mirror to size it and bought a few pairs of various sized black plastic pugs/caps in the fastener section. They worked perfectly.

undo the clamp, flip the bracket 180 degrees and reattach. voila, no holes(or at least they're pointing down.
......or get a couple of stainless allen head bolts. Those plugs don't fit cuz them holes is metric, I think 10mm.

I filled the holes with allen head bolts, which I had (and the nuts, too) powder coated black. They blend right in - no one notices them.

We have this same thread in the Speed Triple Fourm and we have found these bolts EBay Store They are 10mm X 1.25 and work great no cutting. The picture shows crome but they are Black. I have them on my S3 and they are perfect :-D
