I don't know how large the chain of stores called Wilsons Leather is. If you have one in your area you might want to see if they have the British looking biker jackets. I purchased one that had Led Zepplin and the band logo on the back (1977 tour). There were also Def Lepper and jackets with the british racing stripes all cool looking jackets for 79.00 - 99.00. I think more for looks than protection.

I have a jacket from Wilson's and a friend of mine does too and her jacket tore just from wearing it after about a month or so.....some of those jackets are purely cosmetic otherwise you pay an arm and a leg for it.

I agree, Wilson leather jackets are purely fashion items, I had a friend come off in one in the eighties and it split and came apart in the seams. I wouldn't trust my hide to anything from them, if you want a decent inexpensive leather jacket I'd stick with Joe Rocket or Frank Thomas or another name brand or at least something that's designed and sold for motorcycles. You'll get a lot better protection wearing a textile jacket than a cheap leather one.

Wow, Frank Thomas makes leather jackets now? I remember when he was the most formidable all-around hitter in baseball...

of course, I remember when Dwight Gooden was not a pathetic crack addict. And Whitney was gorgeous and gifted.

Hmmm...maybe I should bought a ZRX 1200...

I have not seen the Wilson's jackets mentioned here, but I have been in their stores. I would not choose them for my riding jacket. For casual wear, sure...maybe I'll get a Zep jacket. :-)

BTW, I SAW Led Zeppelin on the 77 tour. They were LOUD. I mean, basically, unintelligible, white noise loud--so loud it sounded like white noise with occasional gaps in it, not like music at all.

You Must have seen a bad show because the 77 tour was one of the best tours ever. Everyone was on top of their game. If you ever have a chance to here their 3 night stay at Earl's Court, it is incredible. Bonzo's drums just sound huge but well balanced. As far as the ZRX 1200 goes, I have not ridden mine yet this year, just doesn't feel fun like the Scrambler does.
