I've been to Mex quite a few times, getting regular unleaded shouldn't be a problem unless you are off the VERY beaten track. If for some strange you can't get reg unleaded get the "good stuff" before you resort to leaded.
Bring a siphon hose, it don't take any room and have been known to come in very handy. Also, keep your tank as full as you can all the time. I have had to wait more than once at a gas station because they were out of gas and the gas truck was late (or broke down or crashed or whatever) I always bring a full 1qt fuel bottle.
Where in Mex are you going?
What route? To where?
We need details. :razz:

You have no choice with the brand

I'm pretty sure it's the green handle not the blue . Magna Sin means Super Without(lead)
Have a nice trip

This is the fundamental difference between Mexico and the United States. In Mexico, the government owns the oil company. Here, the oil companies own the government.

Regarding the gas stations (Pemex) in Mexico:

Green=regular unleaded
Red=premium unleaded

If available - go for the red.

Have fun!

I am not not gonna have a destination. I am just going to go in explore check out a few beaches. I will go down explore for a week. Turn around and i have a week left to return. I just tried rt 66 from vegas down rt 15 across the mohave preserve to searchlight. Then i followed old rt 66 till i hit flagstaff AZ. What a trip. I ran into a group of german tourists traveling on harleys and rode with them for awhile. Just 2 days a major sunburn and a busted ass after some 900 miles. I will post a few pics if you guys would like. I must say the best road around has to be old 66 from oatman to kingman. 15mph speed limits hair pin turns blasting tru the mountains very few guardrails was the best part.

Gawd-Dang evand, yeah post some pics.

Mexico sounds like a really cool trip too. Actually, it sounds more like an adventure than a trip - and you can count me among those that are 100% jealous of you. Seriously, have fun. Have a lot of fun!
