In order to cruise in peace. :-D

I was out cruising today pulled into Sonic to eat lunch and had three people pull up and talk about their old "68 Bonneville". Well, not all of them had a 68 but you guys get the picture. This place does attract its fair share of bikes and I'll tell you that not one person walked up to any other rider the whole hour I was there to comment or talk about their bike!!!! And with my new Epcos on, I wasn't ashamed to fire her up when it was time to go, either!

Sooooo - you LIKE your new EPCO's ?

Nice, ain't they?

I got mine because they were stainless steel, had a removable baffle, and the fact that they were a bit cheaper. Very happy with them!

Hey Kevin - I have two HDs. Neither of them get the attention that my Speedmaster gets...... and the Bonnevilles REALLY get the attention. Mostly, anything that has "Triumph" on the side. You know that most HD guys are Triumph fans. Besides, how can you NOT be?

The other other Kevin

Yeah, I know what you mean...I went for a long ride yesterday with a couple of guys who ride Road Kings, just beautiful bikes...But guess who got all the attention every time we stopped? Yep, the Bonnie...I almost felt bad for the other guys....Almost!

Of course, they got their revenge when we rode home through 80 miles of driving, Noah-get-your-boat rain and they had their windshields and nice comfy touring seats!

Kevin, good stuff.
We rode 120 miles today and saw a bajillion bikes, overwhelmingly HDs. Not one other Triumph. It's nice to ride a bike that's not "part of the crowd."

Yeah it's hard to take. I often get 2 talkings to in a day for my T100, the best being from a bloke at a servo with his wife saying that he had been thinking of getting one and that by F$#K he was now!

I was riding over to my friends house today when a car came up behind me tailing my arse for a mile or so. As I came to a stop light, the car whipped around side of me. Inside were two 30 something blue collar-looking guys. For a second I thought they were going to carjack (bikejack?) me. The guy in the passenger seat almost crawled out of the window to ask me what year by bike was. I gave him my canned answer: "It's brand new." He gets this rather upset look on his face and mutters "A-hole."

I had two guys who have HDs walk a block to look at my bike when I stopped at a friends house Saturday. We talked about my bike for a good half hour.

They even asked if would be okay to sit on it!! Imagine that, maybe I'll have a couple of converts. BTW, I did let each of them sit on it.

I went out for 170 miles yesterday and got the ***** splattered out of me by bugs open face and all. I pulled up to the local watering hole for my obligatory post ride pint to find it surrounded by what appeared to be Jesse James, OCC and the rest of the V-Twin builders. "Nice Bike....good to see something that looks different" was the sentence of the day. One guy actually said "I'm pretty sure the chopper guys trailered their bikes here". People love these bikes because they are different and the whole chopper HD thing has been beaten into the ground.
