Today was the first time i hit reserve since i installed the thing. I wanted to hit reserve because i was checking my milage, other wise i always gas up before i hit 140 miles when riding normally or sooner if riding hard for most of the tank. Well, never again ! I was on the freeway doing about 80 when it ran out. I switched to reserve, but instead of cutting out for another 10 seconds or so then running normally, it contiued to cut out to the point i had to get into the slow lane and prepare to stop because i didn't think it would ever start running normally again. This went on for about 3 miles ! At first i thought i might have a faulty ignitor or something. Thats when it hit me......when i installed the filter i remember turning on the tap and it took forever for gas to begin to start running into the filter then filling it to the point it began running out the opposite end. I had to shake the bike around and it took quite a while. So anyone considering one of these, DON'T run out on the road ! It's a nice filter and cleanable and infinatly easier to get to then that stock thing, but hitting reserve with one is not a pleasant experience !

Mine works like a charm, and has for several thousand miles. Yes I've hit reserve with it.
You sure it's installed with the correct directional flow?

I use the cheap plastic in-line filters. Probably doesn't filter as well but no problem switching to reserve in situations like that.

That looks like the one. Maybe it's the orientation. Is yours situated sidwqays or straight up and down? Mine is sideways because it's the only way i could fit it easily. ta\hat could be why if yours is straight down.
