Anyone know of the part # for an oil filter like purolator or fram, etc for the speedmaster with the 865cc engine? Saw a post a few weeks back asking the same for the bonneville, but don't know if it's the same. grassy ass.... :-D

You can get a Bosch 3300 at most any autoparts store which is what i've been using for about $5-6. I researched them and they're supposed to ge good.

Is that one longer than the original?

I've been having the local Kawasaki dealer order the KN-191 filters for me 'cause my nearses Triumph dealer is a couple hours away. Not that the factory filters are any better, or any worse.

No, it's the 3323 (i think thats the #) which is longer. But the longer one gets in the way of a bike jack, or at least MY bike jack. Ask me how i know.

I got the jack at Kragen for $50. But you can get em many places for about the same. But if you don't mind spending the extra cash, sears has an aluminum one some here have bought. It's i think around $150, but the good thing is it's light. Mine is stupid heavy and makes putting it away in the carport locker in my apt a real test of manliness ! :-D

And your hunch is right i'm sure. Bike jack crushed the longer filter, tho luckily i realized it B4 i went to far and REALLY crushed it. Some jacks may not do that tho depending on where the support bars are located. With mine theres no way to jack it up with a longer filter.
