Does anyone know the exact names and paint codes for the 2005 Black & Opal T100?

The Triumph website has many name/code versions of black, white and gold (pinstripe). Many to choose from but it's unclear which are the correct colors. I'm quite sure which one and the dealer hasn't been able to help.

I just want to be dead on with the match. I think the brochure might say Jet Black and Opal White. But I want to absolutely verify this on a technical spec.

Also, I know the gold is hand-painted at the factory. I don't however know the actual name or code for it yet.

Thanks,
Chris :

Go to the Standox site and look it up. Use the special search.

Standox makes the paint for Triumph. They are the UK auto division of DuPont.

Thanks. But I already tried the Standox site and it doesn't indicate for what specific Triumph paint or for which model. Apparently, you have to know the exact paint # first.

The black & opal seems to be right. I'm not sure either if the Aztec Gold is correct for the pinstripe.

I just found out about the Jet Black's paint brand. It's from Europe and essentially hard to find in the U.S. &#%*, does anyone know a US version of IVC that matches Jet Black?

Bosox, that's what I said.
"Standox makes the paint for Triumph. They are the UK auto division of DuPont. "

You can go to the DuPont website and locate any Standox dealer. It's under DuPont Performance Coatings - Automotive finishes.

I can tell you one thing, Standox paint is very expensive.

Also, some locations use the "panel" number from the Standox formula to match their paint. That will help. Other times (as in this case) you will see a 2 digit code for the colors. If you look at the codes posted by WaltZ, you will see the letters PG and NF at the end. Go back to the Standox site and type those letters in under the color code-anywhere box.

You will get back two matches.

One named Opal White, and one name Jet Black.

I don't know where you live, but these 4 locations carry Standox in MN. I used St. Paul as a location.

OK..OK, Mark. Take it easy. Forgive an old man :

I don't care what the price is as long as it matches.

What threw me is the year of use is defined as 1997, the 2 options (base coat and basislack), and how it is described as Jet Black - MET. This is not at all metalic.

Thanks for getting me closer though.

The Standox dealer in OKC couldn't get the mix formula for my colors, Sapphire blue and Opal white. It appears that some of the Standox dealers on this side of the pond are locked out of the European paint information. I got the mix formulas from the European Standox site, and the dealer was hesitant to mix the paint--that's when my painter took my tank to another paint dealer and computer matched it perfectly the first time! The painter (paints only motorcycles) used Diamont paint. The Diamont codes: Opal White = D-577689; Red (Blue Blood Red) (Pinstripe) = 5G-105; Sapphire Blue = D-661215.

Time will tell how good the paint is compared to the Standox paint. The Parabellum is up front and takes much more punishment than the tank or fenders.
