The rubber plugs that went over the carb and intake manifold nipples were cracked so I replaced them with some I got at AutoZone. The original ones were much thicker. Has anyone else replaced theirs and if so where do you get them. I'm afraid the dealer will want about $4 a piece for them. I bought a package of 6 from Autozone for around $3 I think. It's been a few months. They are cracking now too.

NAPA has some decent ones. Sometimes you can find them at your local farm & home supply or hardware store.

Mine are doing that as well. I'd be interested in where to get some right sized ones as well without a fancy markup.

I'm still puzzled as to why no one seems to make them from a material that doesn't crack so easy. In the 10 months i've had my bike i've replaced them 3 times. Not that they were leaking, but they were so cracked they looked like they would soon. I'm thinking maybe a piece of silicone sugical tubing with a metal plug in the end too big to fit in the nipple hole would do the trick and last a while. Ohhh.......i said "nipple" too. :-D

Got one from my dealer for $1.83. Part # TRT1241012. The one I received with my AI removal kit started cracking after about a month.

Not a bad idea. I was thinking of finding a fine thread screw that would fit just right and cut it's own slight threads as i turn it in sealing it off well. Maybe enen a little locktite

You can't do that on the carb nipples :-D or you won't be able to balance them.
