Some time back I posted about making a replacement loop for the rubber speedometer cable that rotted away over the winter. Since I didn't get around to posting any pictures at the time...
It is made from a peice of aluminum flat stock that was laying around. I salvaged the back of the original loop to use as a grommet, a 4mm screw passes thru that, took about 15 minutes to make and most of that polishing.
