First Motorcycles, I was 9 it was a Suzuki 50 in a box, got it to run sort of.
Yamaha 60 cut up to drive in the dirt,
Yamaha 125 enduro (white tank can't remember what year),
Yamaha DT1 250,
Puch 175 MX,
CZ 400,
Husky WR 360 cross country,
Triumph Trophy from basket cases, a fine blend of 3 or 4 bikes and years.
Suzuki 750 water Buffalo
and a couple of not so noteworthy streetbikes and after a break to raise some kids My T-100, Next year I would like to find a late 60s Bonnie, Trophy or Tiger basket case to bring back to life.

Goes to show you that the dealers better be nice to us guys.
There's a lot of repeat bussiness to be lost if they don't.

I think it may also say something about Triumph's virtues if widely experienced riders are buying them.
I've traded or otherwise disposed of several bikes, but I'll never let go of my Scrambler.

I am almost embarrased to post my list after reading some of the above posts but here it goes:

1) Honda Ascot 500cc
2) 92 Suzuki Intruder 800cc
3) 99 Victory 92c
4) Triumph Speedmaster

My first two bikes I sold for more than my original purchase price. Funny but I thought only H-Ds could make that boast!

1975 Kawasaki KZ400. The only one I bought new.
1977 Suzuki GS750
1976 Suzuki TS185
1980 Honda 750F
1977 Yamaha RD400 with expansion chambers.
2004 Triumph Bonneville T100

I've got a lot of ground to make up with 19 years away from it.

New bikes are too much money. There are exceptionally good deals on used ones. that doesn't happen as much with cars. I was just looking at a Honda 919 on ebay that is listed at $5500 with less than 400 miles on it. New they are $8300. One engine cover is scraped from it falling over on a gravel driveway. I'm sure that could be replaced for a few hundred and you'd still be way ahead than if you bought a new one.

Most bikes don't hold their resale value.
