Mike,
Thanks, it wasn't my idea to create a "dark and dangerous look", but I like that! However it's my goofy grin that gives me away as soon as I take my helmet off. I don't look too dangerous.....
Oh, THAT palm tree..... only one in the surrounding neighborhood. The past two days has been a relief from rain, and I just went out for a 100 mile loop with storm clouds off in the distance. The cows are laying down; looks like it's gonna rain some more...... almost non-stop (virtually) for a month now.

Milkman,
My flyscreen?
It's something that I got from Omar's Streetracker on-line. Expensive, unfinished, needs trimming, gotta lower the signals, LOOKS COOL when finished though! I was looking for something that had a retro flavor to it. When I saw that screen on "blackbonnie"s bike, I knew I had to have one!

Mancha,
"...love those pipes. Wish I could think of a reason to mount some to a Thruxton."
NOOOOooooo...... not on a THRUXTON!!! The Thruxton is too cool of a bike to make a cartoon out of!
They are cool though....
I was thinking while out on the bike the last couple hours. I added some additional baffles forward of the "performance" baffle, and it put it right back where it was when I had ONLY the funky JC Whitneys installed. Go figure. So what I concluded is...... if I want to quiet the pipes, I should put a sound deadening baffle on the opposite end of the fancy baffle and see what THAT does.
"Is that a black fork brace ya got there? Where from?"
That's a Norman Hyde that our local vendors sell. I bought it from them. When you do powder-coating, you gotta make sure you take in as MUCH AS POSSIBLE 'cause it's cheaper as a one time shot package deal.
