Ok, ok...I'm pretty short (5'9"). When I ride my stock Bonnie, it seems that all my weight is on my hands/wrists. Unless I'm really conscious about it, my arms are pretty much straight to the grips. My arms end up hurting quite a bit, and sometimes parts of my hand(s) go numb.....Any advice?

How about a set of risers? Remove the handlebars, mount the risers, then remount the handlebars. They come in various configurations. It sounds like you need the set that comes up an inch and also back an inch.

Here's a link

http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc126.htm

Just go to the web and search "bonneville riser" and you will find all manner of risers.

By the way - I am 5'9" also and know exactly what you mean.

Tenover I'm 5'9" also and I put risers on my T100. Helped a bit but I'm still lean over a bit. I've just gotten used to it. Just don't expect them to put you in a comfortable riding position. To do that I think you will have to look at aftermarket bars and new cables.

See my comments, particularly the last one a couple of minutes ago in the thread "Neck Pain" that is currently being discussed. They should apply equally to you.

Really, I'm 5 '8 and thought the stock bars were pretty comfortable. I actually took off the stock bars in favor of some of the lower bars from bellacorse.

Try a set of 1" Buckhorn bars. They will give you rise and pullback relieving the pressure off your wrists and settin g yopu more upright. My TBA required no modifications to the wiring, or cables, but I'm not sure the std. Bonnie would be the same. I do know it really helped my arthritic wrists changing to the Buckhorn bars. I like the looks of it a lot better as well.
