Anybody have any experience with the Bellacorse mirrors? Do they vibrate worse than stock? Thinking about Superbars with these mirrors.

I have the Emgo bar-end mirrors as sold by BC mounted on M bars. On my bike, they vibrate somewhat more than the stock mirrors. (Is that a cop behind?!?)

Their advantage is that they show a much wider field and let you see what's directly behind. They also do a nice job of quelling bar vibration.

Their mounting system leaves something to be desired. They are designed for 3/4" bars. BC adds an inch of clear tubing slid over the mount to take up the extra space inside the 1" bars. In my case, the tubing wore and then the clamping mechanism wore out from continually trying to retighten them.

I ended up replacing the mirrors with another set of Emgos (can't beat the price and are widely available) but this time I bought some clear tubing with a slightly smaller diameter - aquarium air hose at the pet store. This tubing was more difficult to slide over the clamps but provide a firmer grip inside the bars once tightened. This new set are fine after nearly a year while the originals were goners after 6 months.

I had the sportbars for a while. I felt they were too wide for comfort - and I'm wide at the shoulders. The Superbars look about right. The M bars are very comfortable but maybe a little too narrow to provide the leverage I'd like when hurrying on a winding road. I may have to try the superbars myself at some point.

I used the bar end mirrors on an mbar all winter and they do vibrate more than stock. Like Oldsport said, the view is better in that it is broader and unobstructed, however tThe view quality doesn't appear to be as good as stock. Possibly from the added vibes or the maybe optical quality. Just switched back to the stock bars and mirrors last week, and after moving you elbow, it is much easier to identify who or what is behind you with the stock mirrors.

I'm waiting now for the Bellacorse bar-end mirrors to arrive. They'll be mounted on superbars as well.

I read with interest the comments about blurred images due to vibrations. One trick I used to use on another bike I owned with bar-ends was to simply use the baby finger of my left hand to steady the mirror shaft when I wanted to check out back. You can quell the vibrations that way and get a good look at the flashing lights coming up behind you. Busted again !

No doubt the stock mirrors work better, but, they don't look as good as the bar-end mirrors do they? It's a judgement call between cool looks and clear looks behind.
