I haven't bought one yet but am beginning to think its worth any price.

Am I the odd man out or does the key get easier to insert?

Its a pain in the butt to get between the turn signal and ignition with the long key and even worse now with a windshield.

Maybe the hand/eye coordination class was another that I slept through?

Gosh, guys. Life is tough. I was kind of happy when I didn't have to kick start my bike on cold mornings.

Oh, yes. About the question. Save your confederate money boys, the South will rise again. ---- And take that hand/eye coordination class that Dog slept thru -- an stay awake this time.

Being originally from the state of Virginia with southern roots going back long before the war of northern aggression, I used to consider myself a true son of the south. Then I moved down to almost Alabama and an old boy from Mobile let me know that if anyone was from 50 miles north of Mobile they were a yankee!

The south has risen again. Its full of northerners trying to escape long cold winters so they can ride their Bonnies year round.

Welcome, y'all.

Try on a cruiser for size....our keys are below the seat on the left ! A real PITA.

i have one, i do like it. there is not much length on the wires so it have to be wrapped in high quality electric tape and cable tides to the frame under the gas tank.

Ah, WD, I am ONLY jealous of you Southerners from November through April. Wait! That's HALF the time. Then again, we consider a HOT summer day if it gets into the high 80s. My solution is to get rich so I can live down there with you in the winter and up here in the summer. So I have the solution -- all I lack is the money.

Monte,

Uncle Sam sent my dad to the breakaway state(grinning -laughing) of West Virginia when I was a kid. I know about those miserable winters.

The heat down south was wonderful in my twenties and thirties. Never too hot for me. In my forties and fifties the heat is still the same; its me that changed. Somehow that extra fifty pounds seems to impede heat dissipation. But my, oh my, the fried grouper, cheese grits and hush puppies with all the sweet tea you want for 6 bucks sitting by the waterfront with the AC blasting makes it all seem ok. Now, about those pesky hurricanes...

I have a Parabellum Scout fairing on the bike and it makes it even more difficult to reach the ignition switch. I'll live with it though because I am cheap and I only use the switch a few times a day at most.

Yep, I have the Parabellum Sport Shield on mine and it did make things a bit more troublesome. But, like you I'm going to see if my natural ability to adapt makes things easier. Adaptation is definitely cheaper.
