Yup. Spent the last 4 months of 2005 waiting for my front-end to be put back together and what do i do just a few months later? Take it apart, of course! :-D
Changing the fork springs. Well i already changed them but did it the half-arsed way the first time because I was short on time. Now I've got the front wheel off, front fender off, brake caliper tucked off to the side, speedo cable tucked off to the side, and the front forks off. Emptied the front forks, swished through some kerosene, gave them a few good pumps, and now they are upside down drying out.
Tonite I will pop the new Ikons in and fill the forks with a 50/50 mix of Belray 10wt and 15wt fork oils and then re-install everything. Everything except the front fender which I need to paint along with my Parabellum whenever that shows up.

You're thinking about painting your front fender?
Really?
What's it going to look like?
Can you show us some ideas?

:-D :-D

The bike lift is the el-cheapo lift from Harbor Freight. Gets the job done.

I had just finished my 12 mile bicyle commute home from work and took off my cycling shoes. You don't need padded shorts to work on your bike either, but why change out of your sweaty clothes just to sweat up some new ones? haha

Dennis,
Try tying it onto the lifter around one footpeg under the pipes around the other footpeg then back to the lifter. No chance of damaging seat or tank and more stable.
Thanks to Binnsy.
