after the sprocket change from 16 to 17 I had my first ride and i cant believe the difference it has made the bike alot more relaxed ,, It dropped about 500 rpm at 100 k/63mph and no more stomping for that 6th gear ,,on secondary roads i found very little difference maybe abit more long legged in 3rd and 4th but overall iam happy with it and wont change back also removed the snorkel and changed to iradium plugs <which i find give easier starts.> with my first ride this year....

i put the 18 on my speedy a couple of years ago and am happy with it. thought about the 17, which is what the ba has.

i also put in the irridium plugs in over winter and can swear i feel a difference. could this be?

I went from a stock 17T to a 19T on my Bonneville. The bike now turns 2,900 RPM @ 55MPH. Very relaxed.

Without a doubt. I recently started a thread on the subject after i reinstalled my stock plugs to see if my memory of how the iridiums felt when i first got them was still the same. I installed the stock plugs and accellerated had on a perticular road, then put the iridiums back in a did the same test on the same road to be sure all conditions were the same. the difference was very obvious. so don't seem to notice it, but there may be a few explanations for this.....1-some people just aren't as sensitive to differences in power unless they are fairly large 2-some people bought the wrong plug number because thats what certain dealers were selling due to a mix up as to what the stock plug number is due to a mistake at the NGK site 3-some bikes may be less likely to show an advantge with them

but yes, you are really noticing a difference, and while not huge it is considerable.
