So what do ya think? Good, bad, or UGLY???? The seat so far feels pretty good, when it came out of the box I didnt think it would look good, but the dealer let me put it on the bike, and had a pretty positive response from everyone there, so I took it home, still kinda undecided about it. Thanks, Nathan

I think it looks good and makes me wonder what it would look like on the Bonnie Black.
How does it sit comared to the sock seat, lower or higher?
How many dead presidents changed hands over that one (rough estimate is fine)?

One word, "functional."
Find a tail bag (Rentec?) that fits that bad boy, and you may never return the traditional bench seat in place ('cept when you be want'n to look tough-n-fine....).

I like it....Looks good, keep it. You can always switch seats real easy when you need two-up capability....I was wondering how long before someone did this. Very nice!

Well it seems the seat is the same height as the stock seat, just doesnt seem to have that crown the stock one does, and feels just a little softer. I believe the seat was 285.00, but I think just about every dealer gives a 10-15% discount on parts. I was looking at getting a Corbin before this, now no need really. Nathan

Nathan,
I like the seat, but I'm not sure if I like the rack. The rack bars don't seem to complement the bike. If they were angled instead of straight, they would look better. Or if the rack was black and less noticeable, it would be better and complete the look.

3 words FAB U LOUS. Looks great to me. I think it has a more of aT-120TT look to it. I just got bar end mirrors for my 01 and the apperance and the field of view IMHO improved massively. Thanks for sharing. I would like to remind people how affordable these bikes are, my brother in law rides an 04 sportster and totaly decked out it was 14K. So in the big picture Triumphs are still really affordable to trick out. I picked up my 01 on ebay for$ 3950 and even with new pipes, mirrors, jets and saddle bags I will still be under $ 5500.My main gripe with the design is the forks and the headlight brackets. The black reinforces the tires while the polished forks bring more attention to the spokes. Oh well some people the only taste they have is in their mouth. Time to go warm up the beast.

Oh yeah, I am glad to see that a few Mn people responded, since I am also originally from Duluth, just stationed out here in Albuquerque as I am in the AF. My dad lives in Circle Pines, and does all the first Thursday stuff and all that. Was hoping to get more of a response on the seat though, hehe. Oh well, Thanks, Nathan

Hey, a few questions for you:
1. Is the pan that the rack is mounted to, metal or plastic?
2. Can the seat be mounted to the bike without the pan/luggage rack?
3. Is the price you mentioned for the seat alone or for the seat, rack and pan?
Thanks. I think it looks nice and if it could be combined with a Renntec luggage rack might be good for packing for a trip, but it would probably look pretty utilitarian though. Sounds like it is a bit of a more comfortable seat than the stock plank. Good luck with it!
Tom
