hey guys, i realize this is probably not for most of you but for anyone who wants to take a look.....

i started with a standard 2002 bonneville about 4 months ago and between me and my buddy on weekends we ended with this bobber. ive had this picture in my head for years and i finally found the time, money and a partner to help me make it.

the springer front end is from Bare Knuckle Choppers i kept the stock rake and trail because i wanted a tight compact look. no front fender. no front brake. the headlight is off a '36 springer. the bars are flat drag bars i cut down about 4inches, which will get powder coated black. pegs and grips are off ebay Epic Sun pointed series. forward control rear brake is off a '55 Harley with a cross bar made of square tubing. tank is stock. seat is a solo spring seat. we made the side mount battery box and use a dog collar for the hold down strap. electrical is minimal, we cut down probably 90% of the wiring harness and run a push button ignition with toggle switches for lights, power/kill and current. uni pod air filters required i re-jet the carbs richer and re-set the idle. we cut a Paughco rear fender down and bobbed it to about ten inches, welded up some hidden struts and use a sparto rear taillight. the license plate bracket is welded to the swingarm. we dropped the seat height about 7inches by cutting the rear section off the back bone and re-welding it lower and tipped down at an angle and at the same time cut off about ten inches of excess frame to the rear. the rear shocks are 11inch FX shocks. the jockey shift is a cut and welded 3/4 aluminum tubing with clutch lever welded on and wrapped in black exhaust wrap. exhaust pipes are standard with a slash cut and wrapped. wheels are powder coated rims and hubs with twisted spokes up front, tires are 130/80/16 whitewall up front and 140/80/17 whitewall in the back done by Black Bike Wheels which i am going to change to a 180/8016 it was just a mix up at the shop. i picked up the chrome cover kit from Baxter Cycle and then had my intake manifolds chromed also.

the seat and dog collar will be replaced with brown leather in the near future and the tank will be black and silver. no room for a p-pad so im having my seat guy make me tiny lick and stick for my chick.

i took so much weight off this bike its a screamer even with my jockey shift i can still haul ass past my buddies.

thanks guys,
swankeb

Very cool looking bike, I'm wondering if maybe a bigger seat to balance out the size of the tank would look good. The effort sure paid off in a great bike though, nice work.
