I will be taking a tour of the Alps this summer. I am a proud owner of an '05 T100 and have put 5000 miles on it on the roads of Kauai. We have lots of twisties and no freeways. I love the T100 and have no real complaints. However on the tour I will be taking in Europe my choices for a ride are limited to an R1150R or a F650GS. We will be covering 150 or so miles daily over mountain roads. My weight is 145 lbs. and my instep is 30.5 inches (the Bonnie fits me well). I would very much appreciate any suggestions, comments or information to help me make the best choice.

I fit the bonnie well but the seat should not be higher. I test drove the F650GS and the height is just OK. The seat height of the R1150R would be too much for me. The seat is large so less leg lenght to go the ground. With the tip of the feet to the ground i can keep the bike up but manovering will be difficult let alone if the ground is not level.

Thanks Frimeur, that is sort of my thinking as well. I could not sit on a r1150r here on Kauai, but I did ride a rental f650gs and I could manage that.
