Picked the '06 scramber up on 2-28-06. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet. Just had shoulder surgery. Looking forward to learning more about the bike, including production numbers, etc.[*]null

Welcome! I saw a red one at the dealer last week and it is absolutely fantastic. Great workmanship. The bike is the uber-commuter. Looks like you could easily set it up for hard core urban or get some off-road use out of it. My advise, ride it awhile and line up some replacement fork srpings & shocks for replacement of the OEM stuff. The originals on the T100's are serviceable, but you will be amazed at the improvement. No jumping barbed wire fences, now!

Gillette, huh? I guess we can all find out how the Scrambler does with coal dust and red mud. Welcome!
BTW, where the heck did you pick up a Triumph around there?

Hub-
Welcome, we'll be anxious to see pics.
And, oh yea, when your in the boonies, watch your back...
your homeboy Cheney might mistake you for a ground running quail.
Couldn't resist...

Thanks for the advice- could you recommend brands/ models? What do you have on your Bonnie? I will be using my Scrambler for an on & off road commute. She's a beauty, I am ecstatic!

Since the front forks are non-adjustable, you may want to see about putting in a progressive style spring. I am not sure how much "off-road" (or trail) riding you may need, but you may want to wait a little while until the aftermarket catches up to the Scrambler. I have Ikon (Koni) front spring and fully adjustable rear springs. They has transfromed the bike. If you can find rear shcocks that are fully adjustable, get them. You may need the flexability for your varying surfaces and load capabilities. What a cool bike!

To reply to some of the above comments. I pulled the bike out of Montana. No dealers in Wyo. I will definitely watch my back side if Cheney is in the area. Coal dust and red mud is affirmative in this area. I will try to stay clear of that stuff. I'll try to get a picture or two here, if I can figure out how it works. Thanks for the welcome!!Happy to be aboard. This looks like a fun and informative site. :hammer:

Hubcap - you're in some beautiful country. I would have come thru Gillette last year, but the weather looked bad in that direction so I changed plans and rode out of the mountains from Yellowstone along the Wind River toward Casper, WY. Nothing but miles of wonderful scenery and very few vehicles of the four wheel persuasion until I got into Casper.

Can't have a Scrambler thread without some pics. Here are a couple I snapped yesterday of one they just rolled onto the floor at Freedom Cycle in Reno. Apparently they have ordered twelve of them. I guess they figure they will sell one a month on average for the next twelve months.
The pics are a little dull as these were taken with my Palm Treo cam:
