I've only ridden the bike once (yesterday) and when I was in the garage this morning, it appeared that there was a very small amount of gasoline on the floor in the center of the bike just in front of the foot pegs. The bike was on a side stand and the amount of gasoline was smaller than a quarter. Any ideas where this could be coming from and whether I need to ride back to the dealer?

Maybe the overflow hose. Had you recently fulled the tank?

Daz,
It is brand new and the dealer did fill it before delivery. So, yes, it had a full tank of gas.

Very possible that it was a tad overfull or that the warmth of the garage caused a little venting. was the drip on the kickstand side of the bike ? If so I'd bet it came out the over-flow

Probably not the cause here, unless a float is sticking, but it is a good idea to turn off the gas at the petcock every time. I assume you did that overnight.

Well. I placed a piece of cardboard under the bike to try to determine if it was still leaking and it has not leaked any since that first night. I know that after I rode on sunday I left the petcock in the "on" position for a while before realizing and shutting it off. Perhaps that may have something to do with it. I think I'll just keep an eye on it for the next week and check for any more drips.

I used to get a few drops from my tank petcock. Tightened the phillips screws and solved the problem. Probably should upgrade to the Pingel.
