Since this is the most snowy winter around here for as long as anyone can remember, I guess there is still a while before I'll get my Speedy back on the road. The last weeks have instead been spent searching the web for nice mods, and the two things I really want to do this spring is to change the front turn signals and the mirrors.

Does anyone have any experience with LED turn signals on these bikes? I guess I need an equalizer, but apart from that it should be mostly "plug'n'play"?

Since I also want to replace the mirrors, I am thinking of the "turn signal mirrors" from Küryakyn. At least from the images they look ok, and with a metric adapter I think they would fit.

Another alternative is to get the light bar, and pick up some other aftermarket mirrors. Anyone know of any problems mounting this bar on a Speedmaster? It does not draw to much power so it blows the fuses or anything?

If I get that light bar, I would probably have to replace the head lamp as well, to make it fit the style of the driving lights. And then I would have to add a... well you know how it is

Any other ideas you have for a mirror/turn signal combo that should fit the speedmaster well?

Rgds.

I love my setup. the signals are cheap but well made and look great, tho not LED. The mirrors IMO seem custom made for the speedy, tho realize that almost any mirror you buy is going to vibrate and blur a lot more than the stock ones. I got used to that tho and it's not a problem. You can see my setup in the pic of my speedy in my signature. Buy the way, i didn't care for the gold flames on the mirrors but otherwise i loved them. so i polished the gold and it came off about 80% leaving only a slight gold. The pics shows them as new tho with the very gold flames. they look much better and more subtle now. the signals have smoke lenses and chrome looking bulbs that glow amber only when on.

I think it's all a great looking setup, but look at it and decide for yourself. The signals seem to be almost universally liked by everyone who sees them. the mirrors on the other hand are a either love em or hate em thing, mainly due to the flames i think.

Olen, if Dazco`s "Deuce" lights appeal to you,my new Dennis Kirk catalog has Mini Deuce lights by Drag Specialties. They also have various lens colors and bulbs for them. Also, they indicate the lights to be dual filament,so with red lens, you could use the rears as aux brake lights if wired up correctly.$35 a pair.

I just made a light bar to relo my Kuryakyn Small Silver Bullets. Mine are halogen, but wiring them was easy. Just connect inside the headlight housing.

You might also check on www.mascycles.com for the BA/SM turn signal relocation bracket they sell. From the picture, it looks like a pretty clean install from behind the lower triple tree.

Here's my bracket:
