Was looking at the site for the above (www.leatherlyke.com) and see they offer their saddlebags for the T100.

For economic reasons I'm leaning more towards the Bonneville Black. This leads me to three questions:

1) Am I correct that the frames for the various Bonneville iterations (except possibly the Scrambler) are the same?

2) Has there been any changes to the frames in the last few years? The bags are listed to fit "2001-up" but are also shown under their "2003" listing. Possibly they just have not updated the years?

3) The obvious: has anyone had experience with their products? I prefer the "Contemporary" (i.e. not studded) units. They have a list price of about $430 so significantly less than the Hepco units.

Thank you.

I can only suggest that I actually considered them for my Sportster when I had it. Synthetic and durable, but with a traditional leather appearance, besides.... they won't sag or collapse like well worn leather bags. I like 'em!

I won't speak for frame changes since I don't know, but I did buy Hepco Junior 30 liter bags for $450 for my '05 bonnie. That did not include the frame for about $300 that includes the rear rack.

The Hepco frame and bags sounded a bit on the high side, but when I received the parts, you could see why they cost more than Givi. You can ride a truck over those bags and not crush them. The frame is very strong and has a smooth finish. I prefer side loading bags over top loading too. The Hepco look good too but so does the leatherlyke.

Ned, you are a bad, bad, man....My cheap leather bags are about to give up the ghost, and here you go posting this info.........I think I might have to have a set of these, although I like the concho and studded ones (they match my a$$-less chaps). Not too bad of a deal either, when you figure $170 for the support rails from Triumph plus around $100-$150 for a nice set of throw over bags....

Lookslike they supply mounting studs that attach to existing load points, quick on and quick off bags...I would assume they don't need the support rails.

NowI just have to convince She Who Holds the Checkbook!

I have had them on two previous bikes and loved them. They are waterproof, lock with a key and are easily removed in about 30 seconds for both sides. When I looked on the site last they did not have them available for the Triumphs, I'll have to check again now, if they truly will fit my 05 Bonne Black I will buy them for sure.

One of the riders in our club has had them on a Gonzuki
1500 Intruder since about 1998. They have held up well
and still look great.

Bob:

I swear I've looked at their site before and did not see a listing for the Bonneville but sure enough there they were today.

I didn't know they made them for Bonneville's. I didn't see the America/Speedmaster on there. They sure look durable and I like the way they attach to the bike. The Contemporary gives it the European styling but I like the Traditional look. Another thing I like is they are a very useful size. I think to often people put bags on their bikes and then discover they look to small or can only get a pair of gloves and a sandwich in them. A little pricey but if you can afford them I'm sure they are well worth the money.
