:???: I just discovered a new aftermarket rev limiter at newbonneville.com for my 2001 bonnie. the new limiter claimes to increase my rev range to 8200rpm. Does anyone know what my rev limit is now ? What do you think?

If you have not found out yet you might not need one. They are set at 7400.
I am waiting for more input myself. These are the ProComs which have been iffy in the past. It sounds like the mapping must be straightened out now. A friend of mine tested some of the earlier ones. One was hard to start cold while the other was hard to start warmed up.
I don't bounce off the limiter to much but there have been times getting on a freeway it would have been nice.
Some of the guys I have seen with the new ones have been showing some nice HP ranges.

Convict, nothing happens when the limiter kicks in.It does`nt kill the engine or anything like that. It just sort of bogs down to keep the revs at or under the limit. You should have shifted before that happens anyway. I`ve "hit" it a few times on purpose, but mostly on onramps when I`m looking at traffic instead of the speedo[no tach on black].Now I just merge in 3rd gear which is good for an indicated 86mph on my bike..I don`t believe it hurts the engine in any way.

I agree-looks like a nice accessory for the maniac throttle twisters in the group. Mine works great! Lot of fun too! That twin will scream! Be sure your main jets are big enough!!!! I'm doing 135 and going to try 140 jets asap.
