Can anybody out there recommend any good after market handle bars for Bonnies? I would like more pull back and a bit more width than the std bars. Does anyone out there have any pics or feed back?

G'day Moggy,
Check out NewBonneville.com, Bellacorse, Mototwin etc.
They have Mbars, superbars, western bars, ace bars, drag bars, flat bars take your pick. I have the Ace bars for the cafe racer phase I'm going through :-D

One more thing I forgot to mention, all Harley bars will fit our Bonnies as well :-D

I've got "wide clubman", made by Flanders I think. The angles are about identical to stock, but they're a bit lower and maybe 3 or 4 inches wider overall. They're more in keeping with the classic bikes, and I'm totally happy with them.

Go to a Harley dealer and find the bars you like on one of the bikes there, Harley bars are 1 inch as are the Bonnie bars.
I put a set of Harley 883 bars on my Bonnie, they look great and fit perfectly, and were less expensive than what the Bonneville aftermarket retailers offer.

Cheers guys, I'm on to it on Monday.
Is it just me, or is the std bars and mirror set up designed so that you can admire your own elbows and not much else?

Where the stock cables able to work or did you have to install new brake , throttle and clutch cable.
Any chance you have a photo of your bike with the Harley Bars installed?

It's not you. The std mirrors are a great way to watch your elbows. With bar end mirrors, you can actually see what's behind you and the bike looks a lot better too. Particularly if you are using lower bars, having the mirrors down low makes the bike look great.
