Every time i see a triumph while on mine they never acknowledge a fellow triumph rider. This has baffled me, as i always get excited and wav and smile. They generally never even seem to treat me as anything but another HD or jap bike rider. Well, today about 11:00 i was riding thru griffith park and spotted a blue bonnie going the other way, both of us at about 5 mph as he coming to a stop sign and i was just taking off from it. I saw him and waved and smiled a big ol "hey, brother" smile. he just did the obligitory minor wav and turned away. But then he did a double take and waved and smiled ! he didn't realize i was on a triumph till he did the double take. That was my first positive encounter with someone who also feels that brotherhood of triumph thing. Then a while later i rode right up to a daytona and got the same old "whatever' look that i usually get. Oh well.

anyway, was the blue bonnie i saw anyone here? Fess up pal. :-D

Hey Daz, I get the same thing over here. I think you have hit it on the head, they don't realize it's a Triumph.

Sad part is that they are snobs like the HD crowd if they are selective to whom they acknowledge.. :???:

Right after I got mine, I saw a a nice looking sportbike coming towards me. We both did the low wave and then both did a double take when he realized I was on a Triumph and I realized so was he. He shot his arm in the air with a big thumbs-up and I did the same.

That Daytona was the first Triumph I had seen on the road at that point. I was (and still am) a little surprised that a Daytona owner had such a good eye for non-sporties.

Just goes to show ya, Triumph owners are the best! :upthumb:
