I have been storing my T100 in a very nice temperature controlled envionment for the winter months. A few days ago, I took the dust cover off and noticed a yellowish fluid on the front rim. There was also a puddle about the size of a half-dollar on the floor. It looks like it was coming from the front shock. It doesn't appear to be brake fluid. I am not sure. Anyone else ever had this happen?

Stine,

Was the cover dry when you put it on the bike ? Maybe the
heated area caused condensation on the inside of the cover,
and it leaked down to the front end.
By the way this is just a guess..
I haven't had any problems with mine this year, but its only
partly covered and in a cold garage. I have had mine out a couple of times this year.
I'm already thinking about renting warm storage next winter
so guys don't beat on me to hard..

By front shock I'm assuming you mean the front fork.
Sounds like brake fluid to me, but it might also be fork oil.
They are the only two fluids that could leak forward of the engine.

Another one for the dog theory. Is his name Harley? Dogs can be quite judgmental in their own way. Very opinionated pets.

Kidding .... check where your brake reservoir was in relation to the leak. Or check the fittings along the path of the front brake. Sounds like brake fluid to me too. My Photo Album

Smell it. If it smells like pisss it's pisss, oil it's oil, brake fluid it's brake fluid. Only the nose knows.

so true. my bike is outside but under a cover. about a week ago i noticed some fluid under my bike but not in a place where any oil could be leaking or near the tank overflow tube. so i stuck my finger in it. smelled it, gagged and almost puked. defnitely cat piss. took a few hand washings to get the ammonia smell off my hand. hahahaha. f***ing neighbor's cats.

Stine, if it is a cat I have the solution for you. I'm experiencing the same problem and have sprinkled "crushed red peppers" (the really hot stuff) all around my bike. It might not prevent the cats from doing their thing, but it will sure as h*ll surprise them the next time they lick their paws. By the way this works in freshly planted flower beds also.
