I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or would have something that I could see what the axle dimensions are for all of the Bonneville’s ( 1959 - 1980 ). Did it change that much? Also interested in Hub dimensions for these years as well.
I guess my question is, if I was to buy a wheel from a 1960's Bonneville would it fit a 1980's Bonneville?
What are the wheel sizes for these years?
What types of bearings are used?
Is there another forum I should have posted this in?
Does anyone have a link to a site that might help me?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

You would have alot more to change than just axles. Triumph went to disc brakes in 1973? I believe the same time they went to the oil-in-frame design. Brake drums, front and rear, changed quite often throughout the years too.

Like Moggy pointed out, there is a pre-Hinckley forum with a bunch of knowledgeable people.

Yep, you need the Classics Veteran & Vintage forum.

Try this link and ask your question in the Triumph forum. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience there.
