Mine came from the dealer with upgraded jets and exhaust so I don't know what it would have been like stock. I'm very happy with the performance!
Personally, I'm just about to order one of the Triumph windscreens.
Just cant make up my mind if I want the short one with the chrome, or taller one.

The Epcos come with new jets, so you have those coming already. The AI removal kit keeps your pipes from blueing, but it won't give you any performance gaines. Get it if you want your pipes to stay pretty. I pulled the AI, but I honestly don't see it as a neccessity. I installed a UNI replacement filter which will allow more air to the engine than a stock filter. It's the inexpensive way to go. The Freak kit uses K&N pods and cost alot more, but it also gives you more of a performance gain. Of course if you really want power you could go for the big bore kits and new cams, but now we are talking real money.
Check out bonnevilleamerica.com if you want to get some set up advice from dedicated BA/Speedmaster owners.

Ditto. AI removal is cheap, and easy.

AI removal will help to avoid discoloration of the pipes.
If the bike rides and performs for you right now and you are not craving more power, do nothing.
You don't need to spend big money on air filters if you have enough performance now. The stock filter works just fine and the SM will break the speed limit with no modifications.
Depending on your riding conditions and patience. A Scott oiler for chain lubrication is convenient but not a must have item.
If you find yourself looking for 6th gear a lot you may wish to make your gears a bit taller. Replace the 16 tooth primary with a 17t or 18t. 5th gear then will be an overdrive gear above 50.
Pipes, jets and AI removed, you are there bud.
Good luck with your new Triumph, happy riding.

Hey, you guys forgot the number 1 item that needs to be purchased right away.
Stainless Steel Carb Screws! ($6)
Don't rejet without them! The stock screws suck!
The AI is not as big a deal on the cruisers because of the double walled pipes, but it's cheap ($20) and easy to remove, will save a pound or two in weight, and you can get to your plugs easier. However, it will polute the enviorment more. It's your call.
You have pipes and jets on the way, a UNI filter is fairly cheap ($30), and pulling the snork is free.
Good Luck!
And like Satxron said, an 18t sprocket may also fit you better depending on how you ride. That's also a cheap mod ($20)

I don't think that the Unifilter flows more air than the stock one - it is just longer lasting as it can be cleaned and reoiled. If you think you need more airlfow (due to less restrictive pipes and bigger jets), get a K&N replacement fliter or a Freak/Nark with two K&N pod filters.

It's been my experience that properly matched cams provide a significant power boost. Does anyone know where to buy reasonably priced (hotter) cams for our bikes?

British Customs in CA has them as well as Thunderbike out in NZ both offer cams for our bikes. The British Customs cams will run you about $800. Widowmaker can offer more info on these if you ask him. Thunderbike has just come out with theirs, so I'm not real sure about the cost.
PS I second Panther's suggestion on the carb screws. Chances are you will mangle at least one of the stock screws.
