Hey guys, I love the way my Bonnie looks but I've been hankering to add a little touch of paint to the tank to spruce it up a bit. The obvious answer is the two stripes like the T-100, but I'd rather stay away from that. I'm looking for some ideas that are retro and conservative and that keep with the Triumph tradition. If you guys have any ideas you want to share please let me know and of course any pictures you have would be very welcome. Just looking for inspiration, I guess, thanks.

Click on the link below to see what I came up with. Not exactly a factory color scheme, but the dimensions of the tank stripe and pinstripes are correct.

I've seen your bike and think it looks great. Already filed away in the idea box. I'm also thinking of something like this:

Traditional scheme, but maybe a different color combo than just black and white. Opinions?

I always thought the flat, olive gree would look wicked with my black engine, or yours for that matter....I still would suggest otherwise myself

I agree......I have always thought it would look killer to take a Bonnie black and paint in either a flat olive or a flat desert tan color, either paint or powder coat all the shiny bits, kinda strip it down a little. Maybe put on some military style markings......I think the whole subdued theme would be awesome.

I saw a bike at a local show last year that was painted to imitate a stealth bomber, all in shades of matt grey and black with some subtle airforce markings shaded in. It looked awesome and I think would really look good on a speedmaster.

As for a bonneville black I think they look great as is, maybe a chequered stripe like the Thrux or a single coloured stripe looks good?
