I could not stand the sewing machine sound coming from the dreamsicle so I had to perform a bafflectomy. Assisting Dr. DesertRunner was young Intern DesertRunner III. First muffler was easy. Drilled flange, broke internal baffle weld with socket, all internals came out easy. Second muffler, drill died, quick trip to Sears, bigger drill, flange drilled. Internal baffle weld broken with socket, pipe does not want to come out. Dr. DesertRunner tries to pull pipe with pliers - no worky! Intern DesertRunner III brings Dr DesertRunner 15" Cresent and the sledge hammer. Intern says clamp the cresent on the flange and bang away, Dr does as instructed and pipes comes out. Dr. DesertRunner is very proud!!!!!

Way to go,Runners one and two. I rode mine for a while like that, then started major experimental operations. A big hammer,a piece of 3/4" pipe [flattened on one end, like a chisel] and that same pipewrench, add 5 or 10 minutes time and that Bonnie will start to sound like you remember .I bashed in atleast 4 more baffles, and my bike is louder than an early set of TORs.

Got a 2004 Bonny America. What if I came in from the rear of the pipes andjust drilled about 3 or 4 1/2" holes? Anybody know of any problems I might encounter? Was hoping to try a hole saw but the litle "pea shooter" pipe inside of the chrome is too long for a hole saw to reach the baffle. Any ideas??
Thanks!
