Does anyone have any experience with the loud performer pipes that are sold on the Triumph E store? If so, are they any good? Should I spend the extra money on other pipes?
Thanks

thunderbike pipes. They're expensive at about $700 US, and i don't usually recommend them unless the person asking owns a 790 speedmaster or america. For those bikes they are excellent as far as power increase. And they sound great and can be adjusted for volume level by packing them more if you feel they're too loud for you w/o losing any power. I have them on an 05' speedy which is said to benefit from them much less, but i sill got a good boost and good tone. but those who have pre 05's have raved about the power boost they've got from them. Dynos show 15 HP, and while questionable i think with air mods thats not an unreasonable assumption. The 05' and above have different cams and don't benefit as much. ask Dinqua about them. He's done a lot of mods including the big bore kit and he swears by them. If you had a 05 or later or a bonnie i wouldn't have even replied. but for your bike i think they are perfect and much better than the triumph pipes.

I love my Specialty Spares Long Cannons for $419, I get lots of compliments on the looks and sound.

There are some nice sound bytes here:

For the money, they are fantastic and have held up beautifully.

Louder is good. Removes restriction and lets the bike run like a Triumph. VERY loud is not good. Tends to perpetuate the silly notion that loud pipes save lives. Stick with the aftermarket stuff that Triumph OEM offers. Keeps the bike looking stock while ginving some extra sound and zip. Have fun!

For comparison, my Togas make car alarms chirp but not go off.

Most definitely only buy pipes that you have heard in person. As you can see from all of these replies, there are many pipes out there each with their own distinctive sound. More than a few folks have bought pipes they later regretted.
