My Dealer is alloted six Scramblers, all sold with deposits. One went out the door yestersay, however no deposits on the D-675 (none sold). I wonder if this is a regional thing in my part of the country or just to early to make any sales projection of the D-675? What does every one think about this situation?

I tend to agree with the thought that there may be some regional influence there. There is probably a bit of skepticism over the veracity D675 performance claims, as well. Once people get to see the thing in person and read some magazine hyperbole I'm sure that it will sell very well.

Regional influence and maybe just a random event. THe Daytona 675 will probably be a huge seller in England and the rest of Europe while the Scrambler will barely sell over there.

I bet 75% of the Scramblers are allocated to the USA. Meanwhile the D675 is probably barely on the radar of American Sports Bike enthusiasts who tend to just go for whatever the hottest engine specification currently available or are completely brand loyal like most Triumph owners.

"however no deposits on the D-675 (none sold). "

That's odd. It's just the opposite at my friends dealership. While folks want to SEE the Scrambler, he's SOLD a few of the 675's.

My dealer is getting 4 Scramblers this year, and probably a like number if 675s. As far as I know there are none pre sold yet.

I did Sit on their first Scrambler on Saturday. It is too tall for me to ride comfortably.

BTW when I asked they said their best selling Triumph models are the Rocket III, the Speedmaster, and America.

Definitely geographic in thier opinion.

Outside of the US and UK the Scrambler probably occupies quite a small niche. Plastic-clad rockets are the thing in most countries. My dealer expects to sell a tiny handful of Scramblers, but he says he won't be able to get enough 675s to satisfy demand.

From the tests I've read of the 675 I gather that it will be Triumph's jump into the big time. It is a very slick machine.
There is no coincidence that 675 is midway between 600 and 750 and 3 cylinders is midway between 2 and 4 cylinders.
Although there is no factory commitment (as yet they want to sell bikes not race them) there is a very big chance that we will see a Triumph in the Super Sports next year.
Watch this space and remember you heard it second (or third at least from me).

My dealer's got deposits on his entire allotment of D675s, for what it's worth. Not sure about his Scrambler situation.

Thanks to all who attended!

Do you keep one bullet left for yourself, for when it's all over and done?
