Just outlined the raised portion of the embossed Triumph on the back of the stock seat with a gold paint pen ($4.50), and then sprayed the handle bar clamp with some black aerosol Killrust. Total time about 45 min, looks ok to me :-D
I got these ideas from others on this site so I thought it was about time I did the same.

Great minds thik alike.......Heres mine. I also [ainted th eT100 instrument panel black, not sure why it was grey to begin with. In my opinion Triumph should have painted the clamp writing and the back of the seat from the factory

Like Ozbon said, this is a quick, easy mod that really helps "finish" the whole bike....

Looks real good. Please keep us posted on how well it holds up.

But I must say I'm impressed with over 46,000 kiometers on an 04 Bonneville. Is this bike your only form of transportation and/or do you live in a climate that's favorable to riding all year long?

Ahh! Looking great guys! :upthumb:

I'm so sloppy with paint, I'm afraid to try it.

Love it. Wish the speedmaster had a logo outline on the seat. I'd do that in an instant.

Another cheap and easy mod is top get some of the chrome or gold truck door edging stuff and put it around the bottom of the tanks. Looks finished off.

how do you do the clamp neatly, basically how do you clean it off the area around the letters?

Thanks for all the positive comments on the 'tarting-up' process, like I said it wasn't my idea but it was so easy for a really good end result.

PA-guy, my baby is my weekend toy and I'm just about to head off on a ride now. I average about 575km a week, 2300 a month, all up 46000+ in twenty two months of ownership
as you can see, I just can't stand not to ride my bike. I live in Queensland which is called the 'sunshine state', we get about 200 days of sun per year, today is one of those 165 that isn't, its overcast. For all you guys who are snowed in, I feel for ya, REALLY!!!! I do.

Gotta go, times a wasting thanks again everyone!!
PA-guy the above photo was taken Sat Feb 11 add on another 318km for today Sun 12 Feb

john
