Love my 07 black and white tuxedo T100. Also knowing the tanks are still hand pinstriped an signed is an added touch.
My advice is to look and wait. It will come along eventually and you'll be glad you waited to get what you want.
My second choice was the black and white thruxton, but I've never seen one of those for sale.

I'm no paint shop expert, but, I got my bike painted at a prominent shop on Oahu Hawaii, (where everything is more expensive.) They did a fresh coat of silver on the tank and put blue racing stripes, with pin stripes, down both fenders and the tank and fresh clear coat. All that cost about $900.

So, it would be reasonable to guess that just putting the white swoops on just the tank, with pin stripe and a fresh clear coat, should run you less than $900. Then again... The white swoops and accompanying pin stripe might require a more skilled hand, which could drive the price up.

Wow, didn't know the pinstripes were hand painted and signed. That's pretty sweet.
I kinda don't mind matte black finish either. Not a selling point or a deterrent to me.
Now I'm wondering if a tux tank would fit on a Thrux? I imagine it would and might be cheaper than painting one, if I could find one. The mods I plan on doing to any Bonnie I get will make it more Thruxlike anyway. $900 seems a little more than I would like to spend especially since I know having even more patience would get me my dream bike. But getting a Bonnie and then buying lower bars, rearsets, seat and cowl would probably be more.
As you can tell by my ramblings, I'm torn as to what to do.

I don't even know why I'm rushing right now. It's been in 20's for days here in St. Louis and Spring feels like a lifetime away.

Exactly. You seem to have time to wait. I've enjoyed turning my bonneville a bit more thruxton like, but its still my own.

This sounds familiar. I joined this site to get a feel for the bikes, and wanted a tuxedo very badly. My patience (and persistence) was finally rewarded (actually beat someone to it by ten minutes or so. )

Be patient. Get what you want.

I was using this as a reference: http://www.triumphtwinpower.com/ and didn't see that the tuxedo came out in '04 - so it was a long running and popular color combination for Triumph. I love the look of the bike in black/white.

They also say that 865cc came with the 2007 T100

My 05 is 865cc aswell

*edit* nvm. I wasn't looking at the T100 but the "normal" Bonneville.

Well, my impatience to own a Triumph has rendered the Tux/Thrux debate a moot point as I just made an incredible deal on a brand new 2013 Black Thruxton from FRS Triumph in Memphis. I'll be taking possession next weekend. There was no way to pass up the deal and the way I look at it, the Thruxton look was always the end goal anyway and going this route will save tons of upgrades and comes with a 2year warranty. I'll still be keeping an eye out low miles Tuxedo. Who knows, maybe I'll end up with two Triumphs.
Thanks for all the feed back fellers.
