Scrambler OEM Seat vs replacement

I 've read other threads about Twins seats but don't know that this specific question has been answered. I have an 09 Scrambler with OEM seat. It seems airily comfortable & supportive. But I've been considering replacing it with the similar but I think better looking grey topped seat from British Bike Bits. That seat runs about $300 US from my calculations. Anybody have any experience with that grey top seat vs the OEM from a Scrambler? I assume it would give at least he sme set height as the OEM & at 6'2" & 34" inseam, I don't need a lower seat. I also would hate to spend the $300 & get a seat that as less comfortable than the OEM. But I mink that grey seat would really look good on my Black Scram. So any help would be appreciated

I don't have that seat, but have read plenty of good reports about it. It's definitely taller, and I can't imagine that it wouldn't be significantly more comfy.

You couldn't buy a plank of wood that would be any more uncomfortable than the standard seat. The Burton seat has good writeups on here and the solo seat from triumph is great.

I'm 6'-1" with 34" inseam. The DS003 is fantastic both in looks and function! Just my opinion!

More like $350+ a little delivered to the U.S. - think it still might be worth it though! Exchange rate is 1 UK# = $1.60 US$

Was already to drop my dime on a Burton Bike grey topped seat for my 09 Scrambler when I came across a pic of a gorgeous modified Bonnie with an equally gorgeous brown leather custom seat brom Baldwin Motorbike Saddleworks in Baldwin KS. LINK BELOW

http://www.motorbikesaddles.com/Triu...om%20Seats.htm

Anybody have any experience with these Baldwin seats? All the reviews were universally & highly positive, not just about looks but the seat's comfort also. It appears it would run $ 100 - 200 more than the Burton seat. Seems rather expensive but the looks & especially the universal extremely good comfort reports are rather convincing.

Sounds like you're a candidate for saving $350. Is it just the grey top you want?
