Has anyone tried swapping their Bonneville's midset footpegs for Thruxton rearsets? Any fitment issues?
Anyone Thruxton owners out there not like their rearsets and want to trade for Bonneville midsets?

How about this: you buy some AXLJAK rearsets, and trade them to me for my Thruxton rearsets?

Frames look awfully close. I'm sure somebaody has tried it. I think I'd like to get those Norman Hyde rear sets from Bella Corse, they look more like the stock item. Cool stuff!

Hey Mark, I'm no expert on standard bonnies, but I thought the main differences between a Bonnie and Thrux was compinents, not core things like frames. I would imagine the mounting points are the same. Maybe something would be in the way like pipes?

Let's say they fit. How proud is Triumph of their rear sets?I bet they're not cheap.

I asked the dealer about Thruxton rear sets. They said I'd have to buy piece by piece and thet weren't sure of the cost. That's why I went with the N.H. rear sets. Bill White

The reason I asked is that I was looking at a Thruxton and a Bonnie side by side at my dealer on Sunday, and it looked to me like the only difference is the mounting bracket. The frame looks the same. So unless there's something more internal in the way, I don't see any reason that the Thruxton pegs/controls wouldn't fit on a Bonneville.
So the question now is, can I find a set of takeoff Thruxton pegs/brackets/controls. I've emailed a few of the major used part resellers, and none of them have used footpegs, so I guess I'll have to hope that some Thruxton owner out there would prefer midsets and just do a straight-up trade.
The NH rearsets look great, but I just can't rationalize spending $400 on a few bits of metal. They're just insanely overpriced.

I think it's more involved than just footpegs...
The rear brake piston would have to move (it's located behind the peg on the Thrux, not under the side cover like on the Bonnie), you'd need the brackets and heel gaurd as well, change to a longer hose...
I am guessing it would be well over $400 if you were to buy Triumph parts new...
The NH is quality, and easily installed and unstalled...without major mods.

markbvt Yes the swap can be made - Atlanta Triumph Ducati has done it for customers that I know of. The issue will be cost - new parts from Triumph are probably costly. JCW
