Dart Fly Screen? Check!

Came home from work today to find a box leaning against my garage door as I was walking in from the pole barn. When I saw that it was my brand new Dart fly screen I got very happy! Once I got the box open and saw how nice it really was and how well made all the components seemed I got even happier!

I am so glad for the many posts I've read here where guys had mentioned having to scrape the coating from the bracket threads before the bolts would fit. I did it with a tiny flat tip jewelers screwdriver. Before I did there was no way the bolts would go in.

Anyway, without further adieu, here is the finished product on my 2012 Scrammy:

I think it looks great. The slight tint, size and shape match the rest of the bike very well. I just hope it is effective in taking some of the wind blast away from my chest.

I'd be interested in hearing what you guys think. Also for some of you guys that put one on your bikes; how tight did you tighten the screws down. I used very moderate pressure but it still looks like the rubber grommets are squished too far?

Sorry about the multiple edits but I had to correct all the fat fingered errors as I did this from my phone.

Looks great. I particularly like how flyscreens usually don't spoil the lines of the bike; not at all obtrusive.

If you can, how about posting a photo of the bike in profile - a side shot of the whole bike.

If I were to get one for my Bonnie I would have to black it out like I did with the one that I got for my Street Triple. I just sprayed it on the inside with Plasti-Dip. http://www.triumphrat.net/attachment...1&d=1357360478

Why not just see if you can have the black replacement screen blade supplied instead of the tint one? Dart Fly Screen? Check!-imageuploadedbymo-free1357363474.074610.jpg

Thanks Bluesman. I'll try to post one when I get a chance tomorrow.

That Street Triple looks great. Plasti Dip is awesome stuff. I'm tempted and may try the blacked out look later on; but right now I'm really digging the translucent effect with the slight tint. On a Thrux or Bonnie, I would definately go for the black. Clear or slight tint seems to be a really good fit for the Scrambler.

That's the beauty of Plasti Dip. It gives you options. If you don't like it or want to change it back to the way it was later on, you can always peel it off.

Looks awesome BP! I agree with you on the slight tint versus solid color for the Scram.

As the McQueen Bonnie has the Scram headlamp, anyone know if you have to order the Scram fly screen from Dart for this bike? Will it mount correctly?

Where'd you get that stone guard....and did it come with the bracket attached to the headlight mount?

It is one of the accesories I ordered with the bike. The only difference is I had it powder coated black. Yes, the mounting bracket and grill are one piece. It's easy to install.
