I got a set of these from ebay for my '68 Benelli 350. The only problem is I need a folding footpeg to give clearance for the Benelli kick start. So I'll swap my Raask rearsets off the bonnie for these which will bolt straight onto the Raask mounting plate

I've used the Norman Hyde rearsets since they were introduced in '03. I find them to be sturdy and comfortable. NH customer service has been top-drawer.

i agree, you certainly do get what you pay for with NH, their customer service has been great with me as well.

I was on the fence about the LSL or the NH's, but after reading this I'm definitely thinking NH is the way to go. I'm also thinking about the M bars too.

Thruxton M bars, Triumph Bar ends, Thruxton headers and TORS, Barnett HD Clutch, MAS eng FEK, AI/Airbox gutted, Avon Distanzia's

I am looking for rearsets for my Thruxton. Having bent my foot brake lever in the past, I am looking for a solution that retains the use of the OEM gear and brake levers. This may not be possible for the Bonnies. In the event I bend a lever, I can buy the replacement parts seperately. Otherwise if you bend an aftermarket lever then there is little option but to buy another complete rearset.

FCR, Uni, 813 cams, Works shocks, drilled Ricor valves, Pieman ignitor, green springs, Beringer caliper, preds, damper, brace, Corbin, custom tinware, JMC swingarm, Brembo radial M/C, oil cooler, rearsets, clip ons, tubeless rims, Acewell, T/Clamp

I purchased a set of LSL Rear sets for my Thruxton and they look to goods except that you need to retain the OEM mounts which takes away from the aesthetics however I find them pretty functional.

Downside is that the pegs are not spring loaded therefore if they are raised for any reason you need to physically pop them back into place. I have had two instances at the track where the right peg has hit the tarmac, kicked my boot off the peg and remained in the upright position, not good on the track!

For normal road use I have not had any issues with the LSLís.

However after my last episode at the track where I could not return my right foot back to the peg I have ordered a set of Discacciati Thruxton Cup rearsets which are still in the post. Looking at the website, the rearsets are set further rearwards and higher, which is what I need for track work.

Attached is a pic of the current LSLís fitted to my Thrux.

Just installed a set of NH rearsets last week on my T100. I have to say with the NH M-bars (upside down) and Thruxton length shocks the bike feels totally transformed. Much more forward and aggressive feeling. I can notice the change in turn-in and handling with the taller shocks. The rearsets and M-bars are a great combination.
I rode around for a few days with the rearsets and bars but not the longer shocks and was not as impressed with the changes. Adding the shocks seemed to pull the whole package together and made it feel as I felt it should. I'm 6'-2" so the added height feels much better to me.

I'm happy with the upgrade and the way it makes the bike feel, however I have 2 critiques of the NH rearsets.
1: I wish they could have found a way to get rid of the stock mounting brackets. Feels a bit clunky to just bolt the new one over the old one. Once its all mounted the layman won't notice the extra brackets, but I do.
2: The shifting feels a bit loose. There is a little play in the pedal before the lever is engaged, wish it was a little tighter. You will have to move your foot farther up and down to shift vs. the stock set-up. But that is just a product of the linkage vs. the direct attachment of the stock system.

+1 with zenbike's observation #2. the shifter is a bit "softer" and the angle now requires more of a "toe point" - however, after a couple of days of adapting, it's a no-brainer and becomes second nature.

I'm very pleased with the outcome.
