Tank pads

Has anybody tried one of those Triumph Sixty8 Leather Tank Pads (http://www.pure-triumph.com/products/343)? How to they attached to the tank? Do they do the job? They seem a bit invasive, bulky... but if I cant find anything better...
I have been trying to find the classic thick kind of triangular tank pad that goes on top of the tank right where the jacket might scratch it, but even Google cant find it!! We see them on pictures...but they seem to be nowhere to be found...Any tip appreciated:-)

I have one with yellow trim. It is a bit intrusive. It simply ties on at the back and front. I use a tank bag for my commute so the pad is off.

For universal tank protectors, try TechSpec.....they make some nice universal pads and have some nice custom ones too....

I like the look of those. If I had a T-100, I'd definitely slap one on it.
