I've not ridden a Small-Block Guzzi, but the open road is the natural habitat for the Big-Blocks. They are at their smoothest once you get over 3,500 rpms, they're stable, have very effective brakes, and remarkable handling. The great looks, high quality components, and shaft drive are lagniappe. My California Vintage weighs 117 lbs less than a Road King Classic and 237 lbs less than a Rocket III Touring...and gets an honest 44mpg (better than my lightly modified T100). What's not to like?

I'll agree with this. My V11 Sport is at home when speeds go above 65 mph. It's so stable, I feel like go for days at that speed.

Maybe compared to the Bonneville, But not the Rocket, or even my D12.
Chris
Point well made.

One of the things I love about my Guzzi is that the same frame that was used on this bike...

...was also used on my bike.

The Tonti frame is as legendary as the Norton Featherbed or Seely designs...
