Ok, so I haven't as yet purchased a Bonnie, but will hopefully by February. As there aren't many up for resale here in Barcelona, unless you want a T100, which I don't, I may have to compromise on the colour scheme. I would like a black, mag wheel, base model with black engine EFI maybe up to 2 years old.

Maybe in a couple or 3 months this may be available to me, but at the moment I have been looking at a white one. Now initially I didn't like the white but I'm warming to it and think with the simple addition of knee pads and a black front fender, FEK, avon distanzias and low bars it can look pretty cool.

Ok, so here comes the brainwave part lol I was thinking if I bought this one I could then buy a black bagster tank cover and voila! Black Bonnie! Then I practically have a James Bond Bonnie that I can switch between colours

...now where to get those swiveling number plates?

So just wondering has anyone pics of a base model, mag wheel, EFI with tank cover? I seen Demonic's and Argyll's, but they have the cut outs for the tank badge. Also would be cool if you could share your thoughts and experiences of using them long term.

Just be patient and wait for the bike you want to come up for sale. The cover is not a substitute for a dif color. You will seriously kick yourself and be unhappy for a long time if you buy a white one and 3 days later see the exact bike you wanted. I know its hard to live without a bonneville, but you have the rest of your life to enjoy it. A few days, weeks, or months to get just the right one is worth it.

I concur, be patient and something will turn up. We have the same problem over here. People buy them and keep them, we see very few Bonnevilles on the used market.

I probably will hold out for a while, but I don't think I can wait too much longer. I want it for spring at least. I've been saving for a full year and been bikeless for 2!

I think I could live with the white with the mods. I think this looks good..

Color is so subjective. I like the white but then again I bought the black and am very happy that I did. Getting it painted is another option. You could turn that into a very sharp tuxedo very easily. In fact you have a lot of color options with a white bike. You have to follow your heart.

This is very true, never really thought about it that way. I've always liked the fine pinstriping colour schemes of Martini, Tag Heuer and Gulf on white

This thought also crossed my mind too, no offence to people with black bikes, nearly all my bikes have been black. Maybe it is time for a change. The more I think about it, the more I warm to the white, but i'll always have a soft spot for black bikes
