Only way to slow/stop the bluing is to pull the SAI system asap. Even that won't stop it completely.

I personally don't care if the pipes get blued on a bike. It just means that you spend more time riding and less time polishing.

I didn't like the brake reservoir either. So I replaced it with a mastercylinder from a Speedmaster.

You sure? On the 2009 it flashes the high beam, which is apparently what they do in Europe before passing.

In the USA we don't do that. I might see if I can't repurpose that switch for the horn on wife's bike. I like that idea.

I want to use mine on a little water spray bar. Mount it on the handle bars so when it is really hot out I can cool off. I'll call it Mister Cool Bar. LOL

Hey Moogs, congrats on the new bike! You have great taste if I say so myself I'm a fellow Speed Triple and Bonneville owners as well, coincidentally we have the sames colors too! I went the other way and bought the Bonnie as my first bike this April then bought the Speed about 2 months ago.

Both great bikes and provide a very different riding experience. Surprisingly, the Speed to me feels very comfortable and I feel like I could ride it for hours. The aftermarket for the Twins is massive and you could really personalize it to your own tastes. They respond very well to mods and are just so cool to ride. Enjoy!!

First mods:

CRG lans splitters
Triumph OEM locking gas cap
Analog clock (Clocks4Bikes back lit black)
Rizoma bar end caps
Rizoma slim black brake reservoir
Tank knee protector pads
Left control humidity control outlet

Oopsies:

Right when I was thinking this screw is going back pretty far, I realized I just poked through it, had em switched. Good times. This part seems just like my S3 left control. All I need is a good housing. Can anyone confirm a part number? Seems to be around 40 bucks or so on eBay.
