Imput on 2006 Scrambler for sale!!!
What do you guys think? There is a 2006 Red and white scrambler for sale near me. It has 14,000 miles, British Customs fender eliminator kit with front and rear British customs blinker kit. The carb was gone through along with the rest of the bike at the dealer for it's 13,000 mile service interval. The seller is asking $4,500 for it. Is this a good deal??? Also, is it true that the red and white scramblers are completely made in England? Any information of what to look for on the bike or your input if this is a good deal would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Yes the 2006 model is UK made; I had one. The $4,500 sale price is in the ballpark for NADA and Kelly values.

Thanks scrambler900. Also Has anyone had experience with the fender eliminator kit? I was wondering about the practicality of it. I plan on riding the bike as a daily rider and for taking on long trips in all kinds of environments. The bike for sale comes with the stock fender and all the parts. I was curious if it's worth it to reinstall the fender after this kit has already been put on? Thanks.

where i live, that bike would be GONE at that price, if it was clean and had been well maintained.
i bought one 4-5 months ago with more miles and a lot more after market bits and paid a bit more. been very happy with it, and feel it was a good deal.
i ride the **** out of both of my triumphs, and both have had the fenders removed. if you don't ride in the rain or wet, you'll never know the difference. purely aesthetic...

Sounds good - it's had the 12k service done at a dealer, got a few farkles and the original bits to put back on if you want to. Personally, if you'll be using it all year round, I'd put the mudguard back on and even think about getting a fender extender for the front to the reduce the amount of crud getting thrown on the engine from the front wheel.

I ran across that ad searching for Triumph stuff, car and bike, and sometimes I cast the net out a little wider.
Looks like a nice bike, and seems like a good deal. Good luck!

If you plan on riding in the wet put the fender back on.

Sounds reasonable to me. Make him an offer.

Personally, I hate the look of a classic Triumph model with the rear fender removed. Just kills the classic look in my opinion.

Good Deal
I picked up my 2007 Scrambler with 7k on the clock for $4400.00. I was ecstatic about the sale ... Go for it......
