So since this all happened I've ridden the bike a good 50+ miles with no problems whatsoever. Since I didn't really address anything with any of the hoses it would seem a kinked hose wasn't the problem. If I had to guess, I'd say maybe there was a piece of sediment plugging up the fuel line somewhere and either through just giving it time to dissolve or repeatedly restarting the engine with the choke engaged I managed to flush it out. Still, the whole thing makes me nervous. I ride a lot across the bridges here in NYC and anyone whose been on them knows they are long, have no shoulders, few lights, and people fly over them at 70-80 mph pretty routinely. If what had happened last weekend had happened to me 5 minutes earlier, I would have stalled out in the middle of the inside lane of the Williamsburg bridge, which would have been virtually impossible to push the bike off of and incredibly dangerous with cabs and other reckless vehicles flying through almost blindly. Still, it's hard to take the bike into the shop and say "It was doing this thing a week ago but isn't doing it at all anymore. Fix it." Should I be concerned or does this sound like a fluke?
