Not sure if there is a thread out there yet or not but I'd love to see what people are putting on their Thruxtons, Bonnies and Scramblers that are aftermarket.

'97 Honda CBR F3 wheels and forks: Longer fork tubes allow for clipons above the upper tripleclamp, Cartridge fork innards for a superior ride (preload and rebound adjustments), dual 320mm disc brakes up front. 17" wheels at both ends, 120-60/17, 160-60/17 sport touring tires, and a total of 20lbs of unsprung weight/rotating mass gone from stock. Personally, I think they look pretty badass as well.

That is bad ass. Did you get them cheap somewhere? I would love better forks and dual discs.

Tires: Avon Storm2 Ultra 110/80-18 & 150/70-17 (going to a 160/60 rear next now that I have a 944 kit's power/torque to deal with!)

As stated, reduction of unsprung weight is stunning and has a tremendous effect on handling. I hate tubes and tube type tires and was one of the reasons I made the switch...

Ebay is your friend. The wheels and forks show up regularly and there are several threads here on how to do the swap. I had budgetted about $1K for the job and it came out slighly less than that with new tires and brake pads.

Mine would prob have ended up looking a lot like yours if I didn't already have a Black/Silver Monster S4RS in the garage when I bought the Red Dragon....

No firsthand experience, but I remember some posts regarding Talon wheelsets on Scramblers over on ADV last winter. Seems the best reason was a loss of something like 7 or 8 pounds of unsprung weight on that application.
