I just looked at the tires on my 2005 Bonneville. They are indeed the Battleaxes. But I still love my Avons on my Honda.

I put the Duro replacements on my Honda CB350. Very vintage with modern rubber tech but honestly they aren't great tires. Perfect for putzing around on but I am not sure about much else. I run Avons on the Bonneville because they stick like crazy. I used the HF319 and the 308s on the Honda.

Sweet bike, Calliway. I'd be proud to have that sitting next to my Bonnie. 70's-era Hondas are by far the coolest non-Brit bikes IMO. Maybe some Harleys mixed in there, too, but only the earlier pre-AMF models (i.e. Gas Monkey's pink panhead )

+ 1 Calliway, on that sweet Honda.

"Vintage" tires is near the top of my list of dumb ideas. What was that Michelin ad tag line "Because so much is riding on your tires..."? You can take that to the power of 10 on a motorcycle. Sometimes old is just old, and best consigned to a scrap book.

If you're running without a front fender, a vintage tread pattern really can make a massive difference to the look of the bike.
I love the look of the Firestones and want to stick them on my Speedmaster bobber. Struggling to find a UK supplier though.

I've been looking for the same for years. The original BT-45 Battleaxes are the closest I've found. Everything else is just too wierd.

Another bump for Calliways Honda. I'm restoring a 74 CB350four for this spring so my Girl can ride along beside me.

The 350F is one cool little bike. Enjoy that machine.

Don't have any idea how they would handle but they look pretty cool:

Spitfires have been around along time and they are still big sellers for the cruiser market. I had them on my 750 Intruder. BTW - I lust over those XV920's. They did such a good job. I want to build something similar out of a Honda V45 Sabre
