Triumphs NEW Bonneville based Cafe Racer/Street Tracker

At last, a Bonneville based Cafe Racer/Street Tracker with uprated braking and suspension. I wonder if the engine has been uprated too!

Fingers crossed that it'll get the engine upgrade too!

What is the size of a Speed Triple frame compared to that of a Bonneville frame? Could the 1050 fit? I would imagine if anything it will just have the 675.

I think it will still be a twin engine as it is based on the Bonneville.

Forgive me for once again being the voice of doom & gloom, but as we've seen several times before, the media has picked up on some dealer-prepped specials and attributed them to being factory prototypes.

As I stated in a similar thread, I see no logic in producing a model positioned between the Thruxton and Thunderbird 1600.

The pessimist in me thinks that retrofitting any of the cool new parts to existing Bonnies or Thruxtons will be outrageously expensive.

Blurry photographic evidence! I heard Bigfoot was the test rider.

I bet if it does come out it will replace the thrux. That would make since give the people a real cafe racer in place of the thrux.Might do better with the younger ryders that want something faster.80 hp or so at the rear wheel with good shocks and brakes would sell well i think.

I am assuming that the actual article will be issued with real photos that will replace the ones taken by Mr Blurrycam. Hopefully accessible online.

My fantasy is that they issue a triple engine in a Bonneville (or Bonneville-ish type) frame to fill the void left when they discontinued the TBS. I don't know many people that think that any incarnation of the new TB is a suitable replacement. IMHO they discontinued one of the best bikes they ever made - if that bike was on the showroom floor right now I would bet my Bonneville that it would outsell everything else.
