idiot light screw up

Hi,
When trying to switch to LED idiot lights the neutral light boot just crumbled apart. I think that when I was trying to put it back together I shorted out the neutral light switch. The only way that the bike will now start is with the side stand up and the clutch pulled in. My guess is that I might have blown the diode pack. When I looked on a site for a replacement back I saw four wires red,white,black and yellow. as I look at the wiring diagram I see only three wires. Am I barking up the wrong tree here? Any help would be appreciated.

Bump,
A picture is worth a thousand words, so is this the diode pack that is in the starting circuit with the kick stand/clutch switch? :

I've measured the voltage at the neutral light at .25 volts.

That's the carburettor heater thermostat.

The diode pack is buried inside the wiring loom under the tank, close to the optional auxiliary power connector plug.
